Courtyard House
This innovative two-story timber-framed dwelling adeptly maximizes a compact infill site that was formerly occupied by an industrial facility. The layout strategically invites natural light to grace the open-plan ground floor, featuring a captivating sequence of areas. Among these, one space is versatile, serving as either a dining enclave or a secondary bedroom. The timber joists ingeniously connect with the ceiling of the ground level, accentuating the underlying architectural geometry.
The design embraces a minimalist aesthetic, employing elements such as sleek black profiled cement sheets, captivating blue brick patterns, a sleek resin floor, and timber-paneled ceilings. These elements harmoniously interact with the white-rendered walls, instilling an engaging playfulness and a sense of clarity throughout the overall design.
