Tower Cottage

The new house replaces an existing 1960’s bungalow that had been built partly from the original stables of the adjacent mansion building. The planners insisted on the 150 year old gable of the existing building remaining to which we had to seemlessly add the new sleak family home.

The new house is constructed from structural insulated panels (SIPS) which was overclad with Siberian Larch and acrylic render. The roof is Eternit slate and the windows and doors are velfac. Internally the entire ground floor is heated polished concrete with a bespoke Oak stair leading to the first floor. There is a heat recovery system throughout.
